An elegant, evening-length ballet in two parts, our second Studio Theatre production of the 2011-12 season features George Balanchine's Liebeslieder Walzer. Richmond Ballet is honored to be one of the few U.S. companies performing the work, and the only company to present it in an intimate space like the Studio Theatre. A live vocal quartet and piano duet accompany the dancers on stage as they dance first as themselves and then as the true sentiment of their souls. Liebeslieder Walzer is truly a unique event you won't want to miss.
