The School Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the School Director by leading all administrative and operational aspects of the School of Richmond Ballet and related programs.
• Oversee and coordinate all school operations and administration, including schedules, calendars, registration, enrollment, internal and external communications, and personnel needs, while ensuring accuracy across all aspects.
• Supervise all SRB support teams including administrators, reception, volunteers, and work-study roles by creating and managing schedules, personnel budgets, training and onboarding, coordinating with the HR department, and updating personnel handbooks.
• Ensure quality customer service for parents and students.
• Create and facilitate all contracts for SRB with Human Resources and Finance.
• Oversee the SRB Budget with the Finance Team by reviewing revenue and expenses, scholarship programs, financial reports, collection efforts, check requests, and invoices for third-party contracts.
• Manage payroll processing for all School of Richmond Ballet staff.
• Serve as the main liaison for other Richmond Ballet departments such as Minds In Motion, Marketing, Development, Human Resources, Production, and Facilities.
• In addition to day-to-day SRB needs, oversee administration and coordination with the Programs Administrator for Pre-Schools, Birthday parties, Auditions, Summer Programs, Adult Division, Pre-Professional Division, Work Study, etc.
• Main Contact for Delta Marriott Summer Partnership
• Knowledgeable in Studio Director & Mindbody
• Participates in weekly SRB staff meetings, RB staff meetings, and monthly Education Dept. meetings
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience in managing a team
• Experience in managing a budget
• Experience and passion in working with youth and with youth programs
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team
• A belief in and enthusiasm for Richmond Ballet’s mission
• Imaginative, creative, and responsive attitude toward youth and community engagement
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team; focused and goal-oriented, with a high level of initiative and energy
• Proficient using Microsoft Office
• Ability to work weekends and evenings
Education/ Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of previous customer service and administrative experience
• Prior dance/theatre experience preferred
• Experience in managing a team and budget
Salary Range: $45,000 – $52,000
