A World Premiere by Ma Cong

The 22/23 season opens with the lush and languid Scarred Bouquets, Katarzyna Skarpetowska’s poetic tale of unrequited love. This rich work highlights Skarpetowska’s signature style which combines ballet and modern dance to create movements that are wonderfully original and organic in nature.

Associate Artistic Director and critically-acclaimed choreographer Ma Cong will create another world premiere, his ninth work for the company. Cong’s soulful choreography always highlights both the technique and artistry of the dancers, and this new work is certain to add another favorite to the Richmond Ballet repertory.
