DESCRIPTION:Richmond Ballet presents Peter and the Wolf\nfeaturing the Richmond Ballet Studio Company and Trainees \nPeter and the Wolf\nChoreography by Ma Cong\nMusic by Sergei Prokofiev\nNarration by Daphne Maxwell Reid \nIntroduce the next generation to the joy of ballet with Peter and the Wolf\, a beloved classic reimagined and expanded by Richmond Ballet Artistic Director Ma Cong. Follow Peter and his animal friends on a thrilling adventure to outsmart a mischievous wolf and discover that courage and teamwork can overcome even the greatest challenges. Unique to this production is a prologue filled with even more fairytale characters\, including the Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. \nThis family ballet\, created for children and designed to appeal to audiences of all ages\, is an engaging 45-minute performance that combines expressive choreography\, narration\, and moments of audience interaction. Featuring all-new costumes and sets by internationally acclaimed and award-winning designers\, Peter and the Wolf offers a magical first ballet experience and a memorable adventure for the whole family. \nSaturday\, October 3 at 11am and 1pm\nSunday\, October 4 at 11am and 1pm\nat Richmond Ballet Studio Theatre \nTickets are $25 (including online convenience fee).
