Our adult modern classes focus on the principles of modern dance technique and is open to all levels. Emphasis is on body alignment, spatial patterning, strength, flexibility, and kinesthetic awareness. Inspirations are drawn from a broad range of modern dance techniques and rhythmic complexities.
Intro to Adult Modern: School of Richmond Ballet is excited to offer our first Introduction to Adult Modern Course! This four-session course is designed for those with limited to no experience in Modern Dance Technique. The class will emphasize body alignment, spatial patterning, strength, flexibility, and kinesthetic awareness. Students are welcome to join this course as an introduction to what to wear, how to take class, and how to feel comfortable trying modern dance.
Throughout this four-week course, our Adult Division Students will be exposed to a broad range of dance concepts.
