Classroom Protocol
Students should turn off and refrain from using phones and/or any electronic devices during class times so that they can focus their entire attention on dance.
Personal Property
The School is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property. Please leave all valuables at home. Please label dancewear with student’s name.
Health & Wellness
Dance is a strenuous activity. The School suggests a complete physical to ensure the health and wellness of all students prior to starting classes.
Late Arrival
Students are not permitted to participate in a class after entering late without the permission of the instructor. Please make every effort to arrive on time.
Tuition & Registration
Tuition is non-refundable except in the case of serious illness or injury with written verification from a physician. The School of Richmond Ballet does not refund registration fees or deposits. Please read all financial information here.
Classes & Cancellations
Classes are contingent upon meeting required enrollment numbers. The School of Richmond Ballet may cancel any classes not meeting enrollment requirements.
Water Bottles
Students may bring non-breakable water bottles to class. Food and/or other beverages are allowed in designated snack areas only. Gum is not allowed in the School of Richmond Ballet building.
Additional Adult Division Policies
– A late-cancellation window begins two hours before the class start time.
– Class credits will not be refunded for cancellations made during this period.
– A single class credit expires 1 months after the date of purchase.
– A 5-class package expires 2 months after the date of purchase.
– A 10-class package expires 3 months after the date of purchase.
– Extensions on class package expiration dates and all-access membership expiration dates will require a doctor’s note.
– Senior Discounts are for students age 60 and above. Senior discounts provide a 15% discount for all future purchases.
– Student Discounts require a student ID, and the student will receive a 10% discount for all future purchases for the next 12 months.
– Intro to Adult Ballet students must notify SRB to withdraw from the class prior to the second class to receive a refund.
– Intro to Adult Ballet students who miss half of the 6-week course may receive a 25% discount for a future intro to adult ballet course rather than a refund.
