Minds In Motion Ambassadors
Superb role models who celebrate dance and our shared humanity
As Minds In Motion has grown, requests for performances throughout the community have increased substantially. Richmond Ballet is proud to designate the Minds In Motion Ambassadors as the featured performance group of our important and beloved community engagement program.
Minds In Motion Ambassadors is made up of over 40 advanced Minds In Motion students in 5th and 6th grades who participate in an after-school scholarship class twice a week. This diverse group of youthful, high-energy dancers learn to combine movement and rhythmic patterning into exciting and intricate choreography. The program also enables students to transition to classes at School of Richmond Ballet.
In our culture of non-stop digital connectivity, it is easy to lose sight of our true identities. Who are we, deep down inside? What impact do we want to make in the physical world? How can we uplift the people we see in our lives? Minds In Motion Ambassadors, joined by the School of Richmond Ballet’s Ensemble II, would like to share messages of hope, forward thinking, and the power that’s inside all of us: Do what you love, share it with the world, and lift up those around you to make sure everyone’s voice can be heard.
