Professional Company Auditions
Richmond Ballet welcomes applicants who strive to present and evolve the art of ballet with utmost integrity. Specifically, we look for dancers who demonstrate strong classical and contemporary technique, a dedicated work ethic based on passion and discipline, and an understanding of mutual respect and cooperation.
Auditions for company contracts are by invitation only. For dancers interested in auditioning for the professional company, please contact Taylor Boerckel, the company manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org, and pre-submit a resume. To be considered for a Company position, dancers must be over 21 years of age and of Soloist level.
Women: 5’4” – 5’7”
Men: 5’11” – 6’3”

Richmond Ballet II Auditions
Dancers in Richmond Ballet II, our second performing company, continue a strong focus on technique while also enhancing their growth as an artist on a professional level. RBII members perform their own diverse repertoire on tour across the Commonwealth as well as alongside the main company in mainstage productions. Dancers perform classics such as The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Romeo & Juliet, and Raymonda, while also being versed in neo classical and contemporary works by choreographers such as George Balanchine, Val Caniparoli, Ma Cong, Salvatore Aiello, and more. RBII dancers have gone on to dance with major ballet companies throughout the nation, and 2/3 of our main company dancers are RBII alumni.
