Amy Hruska has taught music and performed in the Richmond Community for 38 years. In her retirement, she enjoys playing piano for Minds In Motion, directing the Children’s Choir at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, directing the community a cappella ensemble, Impromptu, and adjudicating choral groups at District events throughout Virginia. Amy received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts and East Carolina University. She received her Masters in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Masters in Liberal Arts from University of Richmond.
What is your favorite aspect of working at Richmond Ballet?
I have so much respect for the faculty at SRB and love to watch them teach all ages.
What is your favorite aspect of living in Richmond?
The arts scene and opportunities.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Flute, ukulele, family and friends.
