RICHMOND BALLET COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAMS
EXPANDING ACCESS TO THE ARTS
At Richmond Ballet, our mission is to awaken, uplift, and unite human spirits through the transformative power of dance. In support of this vision, we are proud to offer two community ticket programs designed to make ballet accessible to more individuals: the VCA Passport Program and Ballet for All. These initiatives aim to remove financial or other barriers and bring the joy of live performances to audiences who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
VCA PASSPORT PROGRAM
The Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA), in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), has launched the VCA Passport Program—an arts-access initiative providing discounts at participating arts and cultural organizations across Virginia. Richmond Ballet is excited to participate in this initiative, offering a limited number of deeply discounted tickets to our performances for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) cardholders ($11 for VMFA performances and $12 for Dominion Energy Center performances). We extend this offer to individuals in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as well. To redeem the discount, WIC and EBT cardholders can purchase tickets through our Box Office at 804.344.0906 x224 or in person at 407 East Canal Street. Each cardholder may purchase up to four tickets and must present their WIC or EBT card when picking up tickets at will call.
Ballet for All
Ballet for All is a special initiative that provides up to 600 free tickets to select performances of The Nutcracker each season. With the help of generous support from corporate and individual sponsors, we can offer these tickets to local nonprofit organizations that serve individuals facing financial or other barriers to attending live performances. Through this program, Richmond Ballet seeks to foster a more diverse and inclusive community of dance patrons, while providing transformative performing arts experiences to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
WHO CAN APPLY
Local nonprofit organizations that serve individuals unable to attend the ballet due to financial or other challenges are invited to apply. Organizations may request up to 25 tickets.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications for The Nutcracker 2025 tickets are now closed. Please stay tuned for next year’s opportunity!
