Part-Time Custodian

Richmond Ballet, the State Ballet of Virginia, is currently hiring a part time Custodian to provide cleaning services and perform total care of studio floors.  The Custodian will assist in other areas of building maintenance as needed.  This position will need to be available for early mornings for cleaning before dance classes begin.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists the facility staff with cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the building;
• Removes trash and ensures cleanliness of all kitchen and common areas;
• Assists when office moves are required and makes sure space is tidy;
• Vacuums all carpeted areas;
• Keeps studio floors clean and safe for dancers;
• Clean, sanitizes and replenishes restroom supplies;
• Keeps parking area and landscaping free of debris;
• Responsible for daily dusting and cleaning of windows;
• Signs off on department cleaning and safety reports;
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are within the scope of the job.

Education/ Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of previous custodian/janitorial experience
• Building maintenance experience, a plus
