Ode is a breathtaking exploration of kinetic energy, space, and human connection by Katarzyna Kozielska. A prominent voice in contemporary European ballet, Kozielska has created works for leading companies including Tulsa Ballet, Czech National Ballet, and Chemnitz Ballet. Shaped by her long career with Stuttgart Ballet both on and off the stage, Kozielska’s distinctive choreography unfolds through expansive movement and expressive lyricism.
Internationally acclaimed choreographer and Richmond Ballet Artistic Director Ma Cong revives this 2007 work inspired by the music of acclaimed singer Lhasa de Sela. Melodia — melody in Spanish — harnesses the passion of the human voice to capture the profound beauty of shared experiences.
Classical technique meets a vibrant, modern landscape of shifting geometry in COLORFORMS by celebrated San Francisco Ballet soloist Myles Thatcher. This sought-after creator, whose work has been commissioned by renowned companies including New York City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Scottish Ballet, transforms movement into a living work of art in this visually striking ballet.
