Callye holds a B.S. in Business Management. Her ballet training includes The School of Ballet Arizona, Ballet Yuma, the Bolshoi Summer Academy, and the Joffrey Summer workshop. She danced as a 1st Soloist for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, a Soloist with Miami City Ballet, with ABT Studio Company, and as a Trainee with Ballet Arizona. Callye has performed lead roles in ballets by Jiri Kylian, Jean Christophe Maillot, Mats Ek, George Balanchine, and Ohad Naharin among others. She was nominated for the Princess Grace awards by Edward Villella.
What is your favorite aspect of working at Richmond Ballet?
I am proud to be a part of the Richmond Ballet family and find inspiration in their dedication to bringing the love of dance and music to the young people of Richmond.
What is your favorite aspect of living in Richmond?
Since moving to Richmond in 2017 I have enjoyed discovering the cultural experiences the community has to offer.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am an avid reader and also enjoy nature and birdwatching.
The Faculty of The School of Richmond Ballet is comprised of knowledgeable instructors who share a mutual love for dance and teaching. While performing is considered the pinnacle of dance, the unseen practice and hard work in the classroom is where students spend most of their time. And under the guidance of a dedicated teacher, they’re able to reach their fullest potential.
The Administration of the School of Richmond Ballet is made up of a highly organized, devoted team. On any given day, they know what’s happening at the School and help keep our multitude of classes, programs, and special events running smoothly.
