Invitation to the Dance Camps
Ages 5-7
Join us for a ballet fairytale adventure this summer! This week-long camp features a fun study of a classical ballet with movement classes that emphasize creativity, coordination, and musicality. Students will learn about the story, music, costumes and scenery of these fairytale ballets. Our youngest dancers will share their own version of these classics in a parent showing at the end of the week!
June 16 – 20, 2025: Mon-Fri 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Coppélia
July 28 – August 1, 2025: Mon-Fri 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Swan Lake
Camp tuition: $210 for one week
Campers MUST be age 5 by May 1, 2025

Current SRB students should be completing a Lower Division class and new students must have a minimum of one year of ballet training.

SRB Dance Camps
Ages 8-12
Join us for a fun, exciting dance adventure this summer! Our week-long dance camp features classes in Ballet, Theatre Dance, Character Dance, and Pantomime/Storytelling used in story ballets. SRB Dance Camp students are divided into groups according to their current ballet level. (Please note that these camps are not for beginners. We welcome students ages 8-12 who are Primary – Lower 3 SRB students and ANYONE wishing to join us that has at least one year of ballet experience.) Our week culminates with a special showing for parents!

SRB Mini Intensive
Students should be current SRB Lower III students or have a minimum of three years ballet training. Students new to SRB should contact Misha Joao at mjoao@richmondballet.com prior to enrolling.
The School of Richmond Ballet Mini Intensive is the perfect introduction to a summer intensive program! Students take a ballet class plus one related dance style each day – character dance, modern, or theatre dance. Classes are held in the late afternoon three days per week to allow for family summer weekend activities.
June 24 – July 24, 2025: T-Th 4:00-6:30pm
Mini Intensive Tuition: $490 for the five-week session.

Minds In Motion Camps
Open to all rising 5th-8th graders
Get ready to move with Minds In Motion Summer Camp! Minds In Motion is renowned for connecting its engaging movement experiences with content based performances. Each day of MIM Summer Camp is filled with dance, creative movement, music, and related arts and crafts. Professionally trained teaching artists lead campers in an exploration of different dance styles and techniques. As campers learn about choreography and every aspect of a performance, they develop
collaboration skills and grow in personal confidence. Join us for one of our camps this summer!
June 16 – 20, 2025: M-F 9:00am-4:00pm
July 28-August 1, 2025: M-F 9:00am-4:00pm
August 4 – 8, 2025: M-F 9:00am-4:00pm
Camp tuition: $350 for one week

School Policies
PARKING
We are located in the heart of downtown Richmond at 407 East Canal Street. Free parking is available in the Richmond Ballet lot directly next to the Ballet building at all times. After 4pm, you may park in the blue spots in the Canal Street lot (the lot across from the Ballet building) at no charge. Street parking is also available.
