CREATE A LEGACY AND ENSURE THE FUTURE OF RICHMOND BALLET
Richmond Ballet invites you to become part of our history, as well as our future. Members of The Encore Society are friends of Richmond Ballet who have included the organization in their charitable gift planning. Your foresight and vision enables us to continue to “awaken and uplift the human spirit” through dance for years to come.
It is simple to use the appropriate language in your will or other estate documents. This ensures your wishes are carried out and Richmond Ballet receives the assets that you intend. The correct language is noted below:
I give [specific dollar amount or specific asset or the remainder of my residuary estate or xx percent of my residuary estate] to Richmond Ballet, Inc. currently located at 407 East Canal Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219, to be added to Richmond Ballet’s General Endowment.
Planned gifts may also be designated for a specific purpose.
Matching Gift
Increase your donation to Richmond Ballet with a matching gift from your employer! Matching gifts are a type of giving program that is set up by companies and corporations as an employee benefit. After an employee donates to a nonprofit, they can submit a matching gift request to their employer and the company will make an additional gift to that nonprofit. Richmond Ballet has received matching gifts from Altria, Bank of America, CarMax, Citizens Bank, Disney, Dominion Energy, Harris Williams, HCA, Markel, Northwestern Mutual, PNC, TowneBank, Truist and Wells Fargo. Your employer may be added to this generous list!
Simply ask your employer:
- Do you have a matching gift program?
- What is a qualifying donation?
- Is there a deadline to request a matching gift?
With a matching gift, your donation to Richmond Ballet will go even further to bring meaningful arts experiences to communities across Virginia and beyond.
If your employer needs confirmation of your donation to create the match or if you have further questions, please contact Brooke Bates at bbatesr@richmondballet.com.
