Madeline Halkos is from Atlanta, GA and began dancing at Atlanta Ballet as a student under the direction of John McFall and Sharon Story. She continued training at Terminus Ballet Theater and completed her education at English National Ballet School in London under the direction of Viviana Durante. During her three years at the School, she performed lead roles in August Bournonville’s La Sylphide, coached by Peter Schaufuss, George Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, excerpts from English National Ballet’s Swan Lake, and worked with stagers from the Pina Bausch Foundation. She graduated from English National Ballet School with a Diploma in Professional Dance, awarded by Trinity College. Following her graduation, Madeline joined Cincinnati Ballet for the 2024/2025 season. She then returned to London to perform with English National Ballet during their tour of Kenneth MacMillan’s The Sleeping Beauty. Madeline is thrilled to join Richmond Ballet for the upcoming season!
