Joshua Linkhorn, from Wellington, New Zealand, began dancing at age four at his parents’ studio, Extreme Dance. In 2019, he joined Chilton Ballet Academy before completing his professional training at the New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD), graduating in 2024. While at NZSD, Joshua represented the school on exchange with Canada’s National Ballet School and performed Kinsun Chan’s Schräääg in the 2024 Prix de Lausanne Partner School Choreographic Project. He also toured nationally with the Royal New Zealand Ballet in Andrea Schermoly’s Romeo & Juliet and Russell Kerr’s Swan Lake. Joshua joined The Washington Ballet Studio Company for the 2025/2026 season, performing in Justin Peck’s The Times Are Racing, Septime Webre’s The Nutcracker, and Edwaard Liang’s Tributary, Giselle, and Cinderella. He is thrilled to begin his first season with Richmond Ballet as a Company Apprentice.
