Isabella Franco, born in Los Angeles, CA, began dancing at the age of three at the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet. She was a 2016 YoungArts Finalist in Dance. Isabella attended summer intensives at the Princess Grace Academy, the San Francisco Ballet, the School of American Ballet, and Ballet Austin. She spent two years as a Ballet Austin Fellow. Isabella then spent four seasons with the first company of Charlotte Ballet. Her principal roles at Charlotte Ballet included Odette/Odile in Ib Andersen’s Swan Lake, Aurora in Matthew Hart’s Sleeping Beauty, Sugar Plum Fairy in Jean Pierre Bonnefoux’s The Nutcracker, and the Duets in Mthuthuzeli November’s From Africa with Love and Vibes and Variations. She has also performed works by Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Rena Butler, Andrea Schermoly, Val Caniparoli, Alejandro Cerrudo, Helen Simoneau, Jennifer Archibald, and Christopher Stuart. Isabella is extremely excited for her first season with Richmond Ballet.
