Colin Jacob, from Cleveland, OH, began his dance journey at the age of 16. He completed his undergraduate studies at Point Park University and graduated in 2015 with a BFA in Dance and a concentration in Ballet Technique. In 2016, he joined South Carolina Ballet under the direction of William Starrett and rose to Demi Soloist before joining Ballet Virginia as a Featured Artist in 2019. Colin is now in his sixth season with Richmond Ballet. In the last year, he earned an MFA in Dance and Choreography from Montclair State University, published an article with Dance Education in Practice, and choreographed for Point Park University International Summer Dance, School of Richmond Ballet, and a solo exhibition entitled “In Plain Sight”. During his career, he has had the pleasure of dancing works by Price Suddarth, George Balanchine, Young Soon Hue, Andrea Schermoly, Val Caniparoli, Jennifer Archibald, Trey McIntyre, Nicolo Fonte, Yury Yanowsky, Ben Stevenson, and David Morse among others.
