Zacchaeus Page grew up in Saint Petersburg, FL, where he started his dance training at the age of 15. He attended the Academy of Ballet Arts and danced in the arts program at his high school, PCCA. He also had the opportunity to perform in Sir Frederick Ashton’s Symphonic Variations, Goyo Montero’s Benditos Malditos, and Ilya Kozadayev’s Dream(s)pace... which was taken to NYC to be a part of the Youth America Grand Prix International School Festival at the David H. Koch Theater, Lincoln Center. A year after graduating, Zacchaeus joined Richmond Ballet’s second company where he remained for two seasons before being promoted to the main company. During his time in Richmond, he has had the privilege of working with many choreographers, including Katarzyna Skarpetowska, Jennifer Archibald, and Ma Cong. Zacchaeus is thrilled to be in his second season with the company.

What inspired you to become a professional dancer?
When I was younger I played a lot of sports and would research ways to get better and saw that ballet was one them! I decided to take some ballet classes and my love for ballet overcame my love for sports!

What do you enjoy about being part of Richmond Ballet?
I love the atmosphere here! Everyone is so kind and friendly, I’m just happy to be apart of another dance family.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy doing off-stage?
Outside of the studios, I like listening to and creating music. I also love photography where I am able to capture moments with my friends and family!
